A Kaptain's Life For Me

It's been awhile..

Hey there my lovelies!

It's been far too long, but things have been positively insane on my end!

I'm now on the film crew for an upcoming web series, which requires me to drive up to Troy, Ohio every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from six in the morning until one in the afternoon. Mixing this with my current job, my efforts to get back into school, the amount of sewing I'm contending with for the Machina Militaria, the joys of the holiday-rush season, NaNoWriMo, and of course the explosion of family-related fun that always pops up this time of year.

I'm chugging right along, doing a few test-shorts for my vlog, the MM shorts as well as the MM micro-series, ...although the results thus far are horrendous at best, a shame to my family's honor at worst.

I'm not really sure what my holiday season plans involve as of yet (aside from a gratuitous amount of cleaning and other labor-intensive activities), but I will do my best to keep you updated.

...And this would make an infinitely cooler vlog than a blog. Lame I know. Trying to figure out when to attempt filming, what free video-editing software I can use (just to get rid of my 'um's and extended pauses), and where to film from, because while my bathroom has awesome acoustics, its not exactly interesting. ...Or could potentially be highly unappealing.

I don't know. Do you like seeing inside people's bathrooms? What about their purses?

A shopping trip with Banshee!

I really, really need to get in the habit of taking my camera with me when I go places- my phone just does not cut it!

Today, Banshee and I went to a crafts store to do some stock-up shopping ~~while my employee discount was still at 50%~~ and somehow wound up going to our favorite Antique Mall, originally just for old buttons 'n things...

And I walked out with a shopping list and twenty new pictures on my phone. @_@;

I have no idea when or why it happened, but Sir Spice Rack, YOU SHALL BE MINE!

...Really regretting not having snapped a picture of Banshee with the staff of awesome. ...Er, "Walking Stick" of awesome. It was all hand-carved with this insanely detailed twisting pattern...

However, I am thoroughly in love with this lovely hand-blown glass set here:

I'm not exactly sure why there's a pumpkin pin-cushion on the tray... but I really want that too. P:

I think that when it comes time for me to get my house, I'm going to sell my soul to this place for furniture. ...Maybe a limb and a kidney too. @_@

Well, as tomorrow is my catch-up day, I best get some rest. There is still so much sewing left to do, and our deadlines are fast approaching.

New Beginnings

Hey there! Kaptain here, starting a new Blog to accompany my new start with the Machina Militaria.

Well, I'm not exactly sure what you're interested in, so I'll give you a run down of the basics:

I'm under five feet tall.
I would rather spend my time sleeping than doing just about anything- or, more precisely, I'd rather spend my time dreaming.
I like traditional as well as mod steampunk fashion, with a flair for the dramatic- and a love of the out-right theatrical.
I love food, cats (especially mine), and brightly colored socks. I dislike being overly warm, cold or sitting in one position for more than a few minutes.
I'm an Anime geek, a Manga freak, and a thorough-going Japanophile.
